Job summary

Energy Transfer LP in Houston seeks an experienced pipeline engineer to support design, expansion, and operation of natural gas and liquid hydrocarbon facilities and projects. You will model systems, analyze data, and collaborate across disciplines to ensure safe and reliable operations.

The role involves hydraulic modeling, process simulation, front-end design, and coordination with Operations, Engineering, and Commercial teams. A BS in engineering and US work authorization are required.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering is required for this role.
• Experience with pipeline network modeling is preferred.
• Familiarity with hazardous liquid and natural gas pipeline standards is a plus.
• Ability to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain pipeline simulation models to assess capacity and support proposals.
• Perform transient and steady-state pipeline simulation analyses for new projects and contracts.
• Run steady-state and dynamic multi-phase process simulations using BR&E ProMax and Aspen HYSYS.
• Create front-end engineering design documentation and support cost/schedule estimates.
• Layout gas, liquids gathering and transmission systems with components sizing and facilities.
• Analyze system-wide operations for optimization opportunities.
• Conduct reliability, peak day, forecasting, blending, and fuel optimization studies.
• Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, Measurement, Project Management, Legal, Commercial teams.
• Monitor contracts to ensure compliance with quality, pressures, and volumes.
• Assist Control Centers with outages and integrity-related activities.
