Job summary

SKOn is seeking a Sr. Manager, Systems Engineering to lead integration and pre-sales technical support for energy storage projects in the US.

Starting as a senior IC, the role will evolve into leading the project engineering team, overseeing design of BESS systems, and ensuring compliance with NFPA, UL, NEC standards while partnering with vendors and customers to optimize profitability and manage risk.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or CS).
Minimum 10 years in technical/engineering roles within BESS/utility-scale projects.
Proven ability to influence in a matrixed environment and manage stakeholders.
Strong knowledge of BESS, power electronics, SCADA, and interfaces with major markets.

Responsibilities

Lead integration efforts with PCS, EMS, and vendors to propose complete solutions.
Transition from senior IC to manager as the team scales.
Act as technical authority for solution docs, designs and presentations.
Lead project engineering activities and issue technical documents for integration/commissioning.
Develop SLDs, site layouts, performance metrics, and scope of work documents.
Drive value engineering through cost reductions with vendors and system sizing analyses.
