Job summary

SKOn, a member of SK Group, seeks a Sr. Sales Manager to drive utility-scale energy storage projects in the US. This role combines strategic pipeline development with complex contract management and close cross-functional coordination to win large BESS opportunities.

You will lead market expansion with utilities and developers, craft tailored proposals, and negotiate contracts from RFP to closure, leveraging deep BESS knowledge and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in engineering or business and economics; MBA is a plus.
• 5+ years in technical sales or account management in the BESS sector; 10+ years in sales/commercial roles.
• Strong knowledge of BESS components (cells, DC Block), and related systems.
• Experience with ISO-NE, NYPA, ERCOT, CAISO compliance.
• MS Office and CRM proficiency (Salesforce, Oracle, Monday.com).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to meet or exceed revenue goals for utility-scale battery energy storage projects.
• Oversee and actively manage a dynamic pipeline of sales opportunities with utilities, IPPs, and developers through prioritization and feasibility analysis.
• Proactively source, engage, and qualify new clients and project leads to expand the customer base.
• Establish and maintain robust, long-term relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders to foster trust and drive repeat business.
• Represent SKOn at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to enhance visibility and expand presence in the energy storage sector.
• Monitor market trends, competitor strategies, and regulatory developments to support market penetration initiatives.
• Develop and deliver detailed, high-quality project proposals tailored to utilities, developers, and IPPs, including responses to RFPs.
• Lead negotiation and management of contracts such as Energy Storage Procurement Contracts, Master Supply Agreements, LTSA, and system integration agreements.
