Job summary

Mortenson seeks an Engineer III or IV - Energy Storage to support preliminary and detailed engineering for energy storage projects and substation designs up to 500kV. You will work with project managers, design teams, and customers to deliver quality design packages and QA/QC compliance.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years (III) or 7+ years (IV) of related experience, PE certification preferred, and strong knowledge of power systems, substations, inverters, and DC batteries.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering; ABET-accredited preferred.
• Experience with electrical design software packages and Procore.
• PE certification preferred.
• Knowledge in power systems, substations, inverters, and/or DC batteries.

Responsibilities

• Lead design tasks on large projects and mentor other engineers.
• Coordinate with PMs, designers, and vendors to deliver design packages.
• Review and QC engineering deliverables per Mortenson standards.
• Support proposals, estimating, procurement, and construction with technical input.
• Ensure documentation aligns with QA/QC procedures.
