Mortenson is seeking an experienced Project Engineer I or II to join our Energy Storage Group to manage field coordination issues. Candidates will interact with staff at all levels in a dynamic environment, with compensation based on experience and location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum two years of related construction experience for Engineer I; three years for Engineer II.
• Detail orientation to organize and run multiple tasks.
• Strong understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices.
• Positive and professional attitude and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Interpret project plans, specifications, and details for subcontractors and craft persons.
• Implement the pre-construction quality plan.
• Obtain and maintain all necessary construction permits.
• Coordinate the packaging, review, and processing of submittals.
• Expedite submittals to ensure material deliveries are in sync with the project schedule.
• Create and distribute contract documents and establish reporting formats.
