Job summary

Venogy Talent is partnering with a rapidly growing international engineering business delivering industrial energy efficiency solutions across North America. The Energy Solutions Engineer will support customers throughout the technical sales and solution development process.

This role involves assessing industrial facilities, evaluating electrical systems and developing energy efficiency solutions for heavy industry.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
• 5–10+ years' experience within heavy industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of MV motors, VFDs, pumps, fans and rotating equipment.
• Experience developing technical solutions for industrial applications.
• Experience with energy modelling, equipment sizing, system performance analysis or process optimisation.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel to engage directly with customers.
• Experience with Heavy Industry sectors (Oil & Gas, Mining, Metals, Steel, Waste Water, Cement).

Responsibilities

• Conducting site investigations and technical assessments across industrial facilities.
• Developing energy models, feasibility studies and performance calculations.
• Designing technical solutions involving MV motors, VFDs, pumps and fans.
• Supporting the preparation and presentation of technical proposals.
• Working closely with commercial, engineering and project delivery teams.
• Acting as a trusted technical advisor throughout the customer journey.
• Supporting project handover and implementation.

Following continued investment and strong commercial growth, our client is looking to appoint an experienced Energy Solutions Engineer to support customers throughout the technical sales and solution development process.

The Role

Working alongside the commercial team, you'll assess industrial facilities, evaluate electrical systems and develop innovative energy efficiency solutions for heavy industry. You'll apply your expertise across medium voltage motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), pumps, fans, rotating equipment and industrial control systems to help customers improve operational performance, reduce energy consumption and lower emissions.

Key responsibilities include:

About You

We're looking for someone who combines strong engineering fundamentals with a proactive, customer-focused mindset.

You’ll ideally have:

• A degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred)
• Around 5–10+ years' experience within heavy industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of MV motors, VFDs, pumps, fans and rotating equipment.
• Experience developing technical solutions for industrial applications.
• Experience with energy modelling, equipment sizing, system performance analysis or process optimisation.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• A willingness to travel and engage directly with customers.
• Experienced in Heavy Industry (Oil & Gas, Mining, Metals, Steel, Waste Water, Cement).
• Experience with manufacturers or suppliers of industrial motors, drives, pumps, fans or rotating equipment would also be highly valued.
