Job summary

Fervo Energy is seeking a Development Manager, Energy Solutions to shape how projects deliver power to customers with flexible, on-site, and behind-the-meter configurations. You will own commercial and technical integration from concept to financeable agreements, working with Transmission & Interconnection, Commercial, Finance, and Legal teams.

You will bridge the geothermal resource, microgrid, and on-site load, translating technical constraints into lender-ready narratives and driving

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, business, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in power project development, structured/project finance, or commercial roles.
Experience structuring or negotiating commercial agreements for power delivery (PPAs, interconnection, EPC/O&M).
Knowledge of behind-the-meter and on-site generation, interconnection processes, and economics.
Able to read and pressure-test financial models and technical studies; translate to recommendations.
Highly organized self-starter, able to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
Experience serving hyperscaler or large-load customers (preferred).
Familiarity with IRA incentives and financing/credit structures (preferred).
Existing relationships with utilities, IPPs, or equipment providers (preferred).
Advanced degree in engineering, finance, business, or related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

Own the path from concept to a financeable, executable agreement for energy delivery arrangements.
Structure and negotiate commercial terms for flexible and on-site power with Legal and Origination.
Coordinate with Transmission & Interconnection on feasibility, interconnection pathways, and requirements.
Partner with subsurface, drilling, and engineering to align resource plan with microgrid design and on-site load.
Translate resource characteristics into commercial and financing assumptions for behind-the-meter deals.
Serve as the connective link between geothermal resource, microgrid, and on-site power as one system.
Translate technical and commercial inputs into a lender-ready narrative with Finance and Capital Markets.
Track risks and open issues that affect financeability and drive resolution with stakeholders.
Prepare materials communicating deal status, tradeoffs, and recommendations for senior leadership.
Develop relationships with utilities, IPPs, and equipment providers relevant to flexible generation.
Monitor market, regulatory, and tech trends and translate to development strategy implications.
Help build playbooks, templates, and internal tools to scale energy solutions pipeline.
