Job summary

E Source, a US/Canada-focused utilities research and consulting firm, seeks an Associate Consultant to support applied research and client-ready deliverables. You will grow foundational consulting skills while collecting, organizing, and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data to shape how utility programs reach customers.

You’ll work on collaborative project teams, under guidance from project managers and senior staff, executing tasks, receiving feedback, and rapidly expanding energy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with up to two years of relevant experience in applied research, program evaluation, social science, or a related field.
• Exposure may come through coursework, internships, research assistantships, or early professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development of interview guides, surveys, focus groups, and data collection tools.
• Conduct in-depth interviews and support other data collection activities.
• Analyze information from interviews, focus groups, surveys, and secondary sources with guidance.
• Use basic statistical concepts and analytical tools to organize, clean, review, and summarize data.
• Document methods, assumptions, and steps clearly for transparency.
• Conduct quality control on your own work and incorporate feedback.
• Develop basic data visualizations, graphics, tables, and analytical outputs for client deliverables.
• Collaborate with team members to interpret results and contribute to reports and client deliverables.
• Maintain awareness of priorities and deadlines, manage tasks, and communicate status to project managers.
• Collaborate with consultants, project managers, subject matter experts, engineers, data scientists, and others to support project delivery.
