Job summary

Mi-Tech Services Inc. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for Energy Services to support electrical distribution design projects.

The role requires planning, organizing, and implementing project management principles in coordination with the Project Manager, with focus on QA/QC and training processes. The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field and 3+ years of experience, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field; 3+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination.
• Experience coordinating field operations, QA/QC, training and design processes.
• Experience with GE Smallworld, SAP, or similar utility design and work management systems preferred.
• Strong communication and customer interaction skills.
• Able to work as part of a team, yet be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Approximately 25% fieldwork and 75% office-based work; travel within local geographic territory; occasional overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of designated projects to ensure goals are met on time and within funding parameters.
• Support Project Manager in QA/QC and training processes for electrical distribution design.
• Demonstrate understanding of business operations and escalation contacts.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers to meet project needs.
