Job summary

Disa Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Purchasing Agent to procure materials, components, equipment, and services to support production and operations.

You will collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to ensure timely delivery, cost efficiency, and accurate inventory management. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure materials, components, equipment, and services to support production schedules and business operations.
• Prepare, issue, and track Purchase Orders to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Communicate with suppliers to confirm pricing, lead times, delivery schedules, and order status.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with suppliers to support quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment to prevent shortages while minimizing excess inventory.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, warehouse, and accounting teams to ensure purchasing activities align with operational needs.
• Resolve purchasing discrepancies, invoice issues, shipping delays, and supplier concerns in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and vendor information within the ERP system.
• Assist with obtaining competitive quotes and evaluating suppliers for quality, pricing, and service.
• Support inventory counts, receiving activities, and material reconciliation as needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve purchasing processes, reduce costs, and increase operational efficiency.
• Abide by all policies and procedures established by DISA.
• Attend and participate in all required safety training courses.
• Assist with any task required by the direct supervisor.
• Experience with ordering parts for an energy company (Oil & Gas/Renewables/Mining) is required
