Job summary

Puget Sound Energy is seeking a qualified Energy Resource Planning Acquisition Analyst - Anaplan to support the company's Integrated Resource Plan and related financial modeling.

The role involves building models in Anaplan, analyzing long-term energy resources, and communicating results to stakeholders. Collaboration with senior staff and cross-functional teams is essential, with emphasis on data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field specified by the employer.
• 5 years of complex analytical experience or 3 years in energy analytics.
• Experience building complex spreadsheets for analysis.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs long-term resource analysis using models like Aurora, Plexos, and Excel.
• Develops and maintains input/output data bases for long-term resource planning.
• Builds financial models in Anaplan.
• Manages data related to electric generation resources using Anaplan and advanced spreadsheets.
• Communicates results via visuals, reports, dashboards for management and stakeholders.
• Researches energy policy issues affecting long-term resource strategy.
• Prepares financial forecasts including revenue, Opex, capex, EBITDA, and net income.
• Creates documents and presentations to communicate research results.
• Develops analyses and research per senior staff directions.
• Produces communication materials such as PowerPoint slides and visualizations.
