PitchBook Institutional Research Group is seeking an Industry Research Analyst covering global energy production to deliver data-driven insights for private market investors and clients. You will join an AI-native team focused on actionable research across energy sectors and technologies, shaping investment theses and market understanding.

You will collaborate with clients, publish sector overviews, and contribute to internal platforms while advancing AI-driven research methods.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in oil, gas, energy services, energy production, transmission, or utilities.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Experience publishing research or white papers is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead PitchBook’s coverage of global energy production and distribution.
• Produce data-driven research on funding and investment trends across energy.
• Publish timely notes and contribute to group reports and quarterly cycles.
• Engage with investor and corporate clients to support thesis development.
• Develop a taxonomy to help clients locate energy companies and trends.
• Utilize PitchBook data and external sources for actionable analysis.
• Support research-driven sales efforts to showcase offerings.
• Respond to client, press, and internal inquiries about published research.
