Job summary

East Daley Analytics, based in Greenwood Village, Colorado, seeks a Resourceful Research Engineer to enhance Equity Research workflows using Python, SQL, and AI. You will partner with analysts to build scalable tools, data pipelines, and models across proprietary energy data to improve forecast accuracy and research depth.

You’ll own end-to-end projects, communicate findings clearly, and contribute to designing AI-enhanced research processes within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Data/Math or related field.
• Experience using Python and SQL to solve analytical problems.
• Demonstrated use of generative AI to improve workflows.
• Understanding of relational databases and data transformations.
• Ability to turn ambiguous problems into working technical solutions.
• Experience turning raw data into tools, models, or apps.
• Strong written and verbal communication; independent learning mindset.

Responsibilities

• Work with Equity Research analysts to optimize workflows and speed.
• Own solutions from problem definition to deployment and iteration.
• Build tools and automations to reduce manual data work.
• Develop data pipelines, scrapers, transformations, and models using Python/SQL.
• Integrate asset, production, flow, contract, and financial data across systems.
• Translate insights into market, financial, and investment implications.
• Apply testing, quality controls, versioning, and documentation.
