Job summary

ICF is seeking a detail-oriented summer intern to support Energy Programs, Analytics, and Security. The 10-week internship begins in early June 2027 and is hybrid (2x per week) from Arlington or Reston, VA. Undergraduate pay is $23/hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 30 college credit hours completed in engineering, energy, environmental science or related fields.
• Strong data analysis, research, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Work Authorization required due to contract.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on energy programs, markets, technologies, infrastructure, and policies.
• Collect, review, organize, and analyze data to support program implementation and evaluation.
• Translate technical information into clear findings and recommendations for reports and client deliverables.
• Support client programs, including technical assistance, stakeholder engagement, and operations.
• Maintain accurate information in CRM, project management, or other tracking systems.
• Analyze energy consumption, building performance, and market data to identify trends.
