Job summary

ICF is seeking Climate and Energy Planning Interns to contribute to development of innovative, analytical products across policy, power, gas, renewable energy and climate planning sectors. This 10-week, full-time internship begins in early June 2027 and offers hybrid work from Reston, VA or Arlington, VA offices.

You will perform advanced quantitative and economic analysis, help enhance ICF models, evaluate regulatory impacts, and prepare deliverables for major clients. U.S.

Qualifications

• By start date, a minimum of 30 completed college-level credit hours is required in Energy, Policy, Climate, Economics, Mathematics, Business, Operations Research, Engineering, or related field
• U.S. Citizenship is required per Federal contracts
• Bachelor's degree preferred for consideration

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced quantitative and economic analysis of energy and environmental markets
• Contribute to development and enhancement of ICF proprietary models and databases
• Evaluate impact of future regulation and support client strategies to manage change
• Write analysis for major corporate and government clients’ deliverables
• Support the development of research synthesis reports, industry benchmarking, quantitative analysis and policy summaries
• Contribute to business development and marketing efforts through market research and data analysis
