Job summary

Invenergy is seeking an Assistant General Counsel to provide professional legal advice and guidance for its business development and operations in Mexico. You will support regulatory matters, commercial transactions, and cross-functional teams across the Mexico office.

The role requires JD degree with 6–8 years of experience, and proficiency in English and Spanish. Strong drafting, negotiation, and compliance skills are essential for success in this multi-faceted position.

Qualifications

• JD degree or equivalent required.
• 6–8 years of experience in law firms or in-house counsel.
• Fluent in English and Spanish with ability to draft legal documents.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal support on regulatory matters for energy projects in Mexico.
• Support commercial transactions including M&A, joint ventures, and EPC/PPAs.
• Advise on real estate, environmental, tax, and labor matters as needed.
• Draft, review, and negotiate diverse contracts; ensure compliance.
• Participate in the Compliance Committee.
