Job summary

The Benesch Friedlander Coplan & Aronoff is seeking a Business Development Specialist to support the Energy Regulatory and Environmental & Natural Resources practices and work closely with the Marketing and Business Development team.

You will develop strategies to cultivate clients, conduct market research, coordinate events and webinars, promote attorney successes, and prepare tailored pitch materials and thought leadership content while managing relationships across the firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or marketing preferred.
• Minimum seven years of marketing and business development experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services.
• Strong project and process management experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing strategies to cultivate business with current and prospective clients.
• Conduct client, prospect, industry, competitor, and market research/analysis to inform targeted business development efforts.
• Coordinate planning and execution of events, sponsorships, webinars and speaking engagements, including budget and logistics, invitations, collateral, and on-site support.
• Work with communications to promote attorney successes and align with profile-raising objectives.
• Assist with coordination of practice group thought leadership and blogs, including strategy and posting content.
• Identify cross-practice connections and opportunities for increased visibility.
• Collect matter data for Foundation, the firm’s experience management system.
• Create high quality pitch materials, responses to RFPs, and client presentations.
• Develop legal directory and award submissions.
• Coordinate marketing expense approvals and help manage budgets.
• Handle InterAction-related functions and maintain marketing lists, research, and reports.
• Respond to client inquiries in a timely manner and seek feedback.
