Job summary

Black Hills Energy is seeking a Regulatory Affairs professional to directly support leadership in regulatory matters for assigned state(s) to achieve business plans and comply with regulatory requirements. You will plan, prepare, research, analyze and implement regulatory strategies in collaboration with cross functional teams, preparing information for internal decisions and regulatory filings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field required.
• This role requires driving responsibilities and a valid driver's license.
• Travel up to 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, review, research and analyze federal and state regulatory requirements and present to stakeholders.
• Assist in development and support regulatory initiatives aligning with business strategies.
• Research and communicate interpretation of rates, rules, and service terms to company personnel.
• Assist in preparation and review of tariff changes and tariffs implementations.
• Assist in testimony and data request responses for regulatory filings.
• Assist in preparation, filing and support of cost recovery riders and regulatory filings.
• Analyze financial and statistical data; present conclusions to management.
• Engage with commissions/regulatory agencies through timely reports and filings.
• Maintain professional relationships with regulators, customers and stakeholders.
• Other duties as assigned.
