Job summary

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in engineering, finance, physics, economics, or related technical field.
• 1–2 years of experience in energy, utilities, or related industry.
• Energy project analysis experience is a plus; advanced degrees or specific undergrad experience can substitute.
• Proficient in Python and Excel at an intermediate level.

Responsibilities

• Play a key role in building microgrids by supporting the BD team to turn opportunities into bankable projects.
• Evaluate project economics including utility savings, grid-services revenue, financing costs, etc.
• Optimize microgrid design (solar, batteries, generators) to maximize returns.
• Advance DER dispatch strategy based on load profile, utility rates, and demand response programs.
• Support BD team with proposals, client calls, presentations, etc.
• Interface with SMS engineering, finance, and project management departments.
• Nurture relationships with internal peers and external partners.
• Help build a department essential to the company’s rapid growth.
