Job summary

Facility Innovations Group seeks a Project Manager to oversee solar construction for utility and C&I energy efficiency and distributed energy projects. You will visit sites, coordinate engineers and vendors, source materials, and support design/development teams through construction and commissioning.

The role requires energy efficiency project management experience and involves coordinating multiple projects nationwide from Austin headquarters, with frequent travel to project sites.

Qualifications

  • BS Degree in Construction Management preferred.
  • Experience with NEC and solar PV systems.
  • 3–6 years of energy project design/PM experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
  • Field experience in installation, startup and commissioning of solar projects.

Responsibilities

  • Visit customer sites to assess energy systems and collect utility data.
  • Value-engineer projects with design teams for constructability.
  • Develop and manage supplier relationships and issue subcontractor RFPs.
  • Procure equipment and manage delivery schedules and payment terms.
  • Oversee field construction, permits, mobilizations and closeout.
  • Develop M&V plans and coordinate with M&V vendors.
  • Provide engineering guidance to project teams throughout development and construction.
  • Ensure projects meet objectives and deliver energy cost savings.
