Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Energy and Power Discipline Leader in the United States. The role focuses on electrification, distributed energy resources, microgrids, and battery technologies to shape client solutions across federal, state, municipal, and commercial sectors.

You will lead analytical development, program design, and implementation while mentoring technical staff and collaborating with researchers, industry peers, and stakeholders to advance the mobility and energy transition.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or Electrical Technology or related discipline; PE license.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required. Travel frequency depends on duties and project demands.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct development of analysis, evaluation, and design for electrification and EV fleet adoption.
• Provide electrification and renewable energy advisory and design support to clients nationwide.
• Educate internal leaders on policies and funding opportunities for electrification.
• Lead financial modeling, cost-benefit analyses, and incentive evaluations.
• Champion R&D initiatives related to green electrification and renewable energy.
• Lead cross-functional teams in developing and implementing complex strategic efforts.
• Be a seller and a doer, guiding clients into new mobility spaces.
• Collaborate across practices to advance the discipline.
