Job summary

The Maine Department of Energy Resources is seeking an Energy Policy Coordinator in Augusta to coordinate and support the department’s energy security and liquid fuels initiatives. The role focuses on project management, analysis, and decision support to implement the state’s energy security plan and energy policy studies.

You will liaise with state and federal agencies, industry partners, and other stakeholders, helping to monitor energy markets, administer SHOPP programs, and guide policy

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate the state energy security plan in collaboration with other agencies.
• Monitor physical energy security and cybersecurity threats and mitigation actions.
• Administer the federally funded State Heating Oil and Propane Program (SHOPP) data collection and reporting.
• Support petroleum product monitoring and reporting with industry and state partners.
• Represent Maine in forums on energy security and delivered fuel topics.
• Coordinate and manage contracting, vendor engagement, and ongoing operations.
