Wayne State University is seeking a Policy Analyst 2 (Energy) to support the Transportation and Grid Modernization Unit within the Clean Energy and Markets section of the Office of Markets and Innovation. This role focuses on DER and DR programs under CLCPA and related grid initiatives.

You will work with senior staff, provide technical direction, analyze utility filings, and contribute to policy development through reports and testimony.

Formación

• One year of service as Policy Analyst 1 (Energy) OR seven years of experience in review, analysis, development, or implementation of energy-related programs or policies.
• Substitutions: associate degree substitutes for two years; bachelor’s for four; master’s for five; J.D. for six; Ph.D. for seven.

Responsabilidades

• Perform duties with increasing autonomy as Policy Analyst 2 (Energy).
• Apply advanced expertise to complex energy policy and program development in DR, energy market design, or advanced rate designs.
• Prepare detailed reports with analyses and recommended actions.
• Analyze policies and programs and develop standards and procedures.
• Present and testify at seminars, conferences, or meetings as needed.
• Provide technical direction and supervise lower-level staff where appropriate.
• Participate in utility rate proceedings and develop positions on issues.
• Review utility filings to ensure compliance with Commission requirements.
