Job summary

ENGIE North America is seeking a Utility Person 1 for the MATEP facility in Massachusetts. You will perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks under the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, with a 2pm-10pm Monday–Friday schedule and mandatory safety and training programs.

The role requires onsite daily presence, a valid U.S. driver’s license, and willingness to comply with ENGIE ethics and safety policies. Physical outdoor work and use of MS Office and Maximo CMMS are part of the job.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Interest in gaining exposure to industrial facilities, power generation equipment.
• This role requires attendance at a worksite on a daily basis.
• Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license; may drive company vehicle.
• Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies.
• This position consists of 20% outdoor work, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Maximo CMMS programs.
• Ability to meet highest attendance requirements.
• Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; and stoop, kneel, or crouch.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning of plant offices, storage areas, locker rooms, stairways, satellite facilities, and other areas as required.
• Clean and dust furniture and fixtures, wash walls and windows in plant and office areas.
• Clean interior plant critical operating equipment and walks.
• Paint building and associated equipment.
• Assist uniform vendor in collecting and distributing uniforms, wipers, and runners.
• Maintain the plant’s exterior and walks, including grounds keeping, window cleaning, trash collection and removal, snow removal from walkways and driveways.
• Observe and comply with all safety codes and practices; work per company standards and laws.
• Participate in mandatory training and other programs.
• Participate in emergency response team.
• Perform other maintenance related duties as required.
