Job summary

ENGIE North America is seeking an Operations Intern for the Boston MATEP facility to support the Operations Department with procedures, project assistance, and tasks to aid the Operations Manager and Chief Engineer while gaining experience in facilities and power generation.

The winter internship runs January 4, 2027 to February 26, 2027 and requires on-site work, PPE, and occasional overtime. Enrollment in a four-year engineering program is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Enrolled in a four-year college studying Facilities Engineering or Marine Engineering.
• Ability to work on-site in the plant and outdoors; potential overtime.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Willing to adhere to ENGIE ethics and safety policies.
• Daily on-site work required; 25% outdoor work exposure.

Responsibilities

• Support the Operations Department with procedures, project assistance, and tasks to aid the Operations Manager and Chief Engineer.
• Use exposure to MATEP to enhance education in facilities and power generation.
