Job summary

WSP is seeking a Natural Resources Project Manager to lead environmental projects in Oklahoma City, OK and Tulsa, OK. This role emphasizes permitting, regulatory engagement, and growth across Gulf South energy markets.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage budgets and schedules, and coordinate with agencies and stakeholders to deliver impactful environmental outcomes. Experience in proposal development and client relations is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resources or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 7-10 years of experience in managing complex environmental projects, preferably in energy/industrial sectors.
  • Familiarity with Gulf South energy/industrial markets, regulatory structures, and permitting pathways.
  • Ability to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes and build consensus.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with proposal development and growing client portfolios.
  • Experience permitting, regulatory requirements, analyses, and filings for energy projects in the Gulf South.
  • Experience planning and participating in public meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multidisciplinary teams across complex energy and industrial projects, ensuring on-time, on-scope, on-budget delivery.
  • Direct and manage teams reviewing project impacts and avoidance planning for energy/industrial projects; lead field and reporting for client deliverables and agency submittals.
  • Oversee all aspects of project permitting: prep applications, coordinate with agencies, manage public hearings and community engagement.
  • Foster productive relationships with regulatory agencies and authorities; advise on state filing requirements.
  • Lead/contribute to business development to grow the portfolio and client relationships.
  • Monitor market trends and policy changes to inform project strategy and opportunities.
  • Serve as primary contact for internal/external stakeholders including clients and government officials.
  • Ensure thorough project documentation, compliance records, and transparent reporting across all life-cycle phases.
  • Advocate for innovation and process improvements to drive operational excellence.
  • Willing to travel within the Gulf South for site visits and public meetings.
