Job summary

WSP is seeking an experienced Project Manager & Seller/Doer for Natural Resources and Environmental Permitting to lead projects across Brentwood, TN, Canton, MS, or Birmingham, AL. This role combines project management with business development and client engagement to grow our environmental practice.

You will manage permitting efforts, coordinate field activities, and maintain client relationships while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in ecology, natural resources, environmental engineering, or related field; MS preferred.
• 7–10+ years of related experience in environmental consulting.
• Strong understanding of federal/state environmental permitting (CWA 404/401, NEPA).
• Excellent report writing and proposal development.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage natural resources and environmental permitting projects with client satisfaction.
• Develop and execute project plans, budgets, schedules, and deliverables per regulatory standards.
• Coordinate field assessments, sampling programs, and report preparation.
• Serve as primary contact for clients, regulators, and stakeholders.
• Identify new business opportunities, prepare proposals, and lead client presentations.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Maintain health and safety protocols throughout all project phases.
