STV Incorporated's Buildings Division seeks an Energy Modeling Engineer for our New York City office. The candidate will develop whole-building energy models and perform HVAC analyses under senior guidance, supporting sustainable design and energy-code compliance.

The role requires a Mechanical Engineering background, 3+ years in energy modeling, and experience with IES VE; familiarity with ASHRAE 90.1 and LEED is essential. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams is key.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or closely related discipline.
• Three years of relevant experience in building energy modeling, HVAC design, building-performance analysis, or energy-code compliance.
• Experience using IES VE to develop and analyze whole-building energy models.
• Working knowledge of energy codes such as ASHRAE 90.1 and LEED.
• Strong analytical and writing skills.

Responsabilidades

• Develop proposed and baseline whole-building energy models and perform HVAC system analyses using IES VE.
• Review architectural and engineering documents to establish building geometry, envelope assemblies, internal loads, operating schedules, and HVAC system inputs.
• Evaluate energy conservation measures and life-cycle cost analyses of proposed alternatives.
• Prepare energy-code compliance models and documentation per ASHRAE 90.1, LEED, and local/state requirements.
• Communicate findings to project teams and external stakeholders; work with multidisciplinary teams and stay current with energy codes.
