Job summary

SOCOTEC US seeks an Energy Analyst with 0-2 years experience to join our Energy Modeling group within the Energy & Sustainability Division in Fort Lauderdale. You will support Energy Project Managers on high-profile green projects locally, nationally, and internationally.

The role offers a hybrid schedule with remote days and opportunities to collaborate with leading real estate developers and design firms while developing advanced modeling skills and contributing to LEED-related energy projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical, Aerospace or Civil Engineering or Physics.
• Knowledge of heat transfer and HVAC.
• Experience with building energy modeling using DOE-2, eQuest or EnergyPlus preferred.
• Familiarity with building design drawings and construction.
• Excellent analytical abilities and problem-solving.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; basic AutoCAD/Revit skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn modeling procedures of SOCOTEC.
• Model buildings using DOE-2, eQuest and EnergyPlus.
• Train in modeling areas related to architecture or HVAC.
• Document and maintain well written reports on project activity.
• Communicate with management teams and stakeholders.
• Provide cross-functional support to meet client needs and timelines.
• Maintain detailed documents from start to finish.
• Attend in-house seminars and team meetings.
• Maintain established utilization levels.
