Job summary

SOCOTEC is seeking an Energy Analyst (0–2 years) to join the Energy Modeling group within the Energy & Sustainability Division in Florida. You will support project managers on high-profile green projects and learn SOCOTEC's modeling procedures using DOE-2, eQuest and EnergyPlus.

You will document analyses, communicate with teams, and contribute to cross-functional efforts, with a hybrid/remote option and ongoing mentorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Civil Engineering, or Physics.
• Familiarity with MEP design is helpful.
• Knowledge of heat transfer, thermodynamics and HVAC equipment.
• Experience with building energy modeling tools is preferred.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Excel; basic CAD skills helpful.

Responsibilities

• Learn SOCOTEC modeling procedures and apply them to projects.
• Model buildings using DOE-2, eQuest and EnergyPlus.
• Document and present well-written project reports.
• Coordinate with energy project managers and teams to meet timelines.
• Attend in-house seminars and team meetings; participate in cross-functional work.
• Hybrid/remote work option available with training and mentorship.
