Job summary

SOCOTEC, Inc. is seeking a motivated Energy Analyst with 0–2 years of experience to join the Energy Modeling group. You will support Energy Project Managers on high-profile green projects, collaborating with leading real estate developers and design firms.

You will learn modeling procedures, model buildings with DOE-2, eQuest, and EnergyPlus, and develop reports. A hybrid/remote option may be available with mentorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in a relevant engineering field or physics.
• Familiar with heat transfer, thermodynamics and HVAC equipment.
• Experience with DOE-2, eQuest or EnergyPlus energy modeling preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication; proficient in MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Learn SOCOTEC modeling procedures.
• Model buildings using DOE-2, eQuest and EnergyPlus.
• Train in related modeling areas (HVAC vs architectural).
• Document and maintain well-written project reports.
• Communicate effectively with management teams.
• Provide cross-functional support to meet client timelines.
• Maintain detailed work progression from start to finish.
• Attend in-house seminars and team meetings.
• Hybrid/remote work option may be available with training.
