SOCOTEC, Inc. is seeking an Energy Analyst to join our Energy Modeling group within the Energy & Sustainability Division. You will support Energy Project Managers on high-profile sustainability projects for real estate developers and design firms.

The role involves learning hygrothermal analyses of building envelopes and interaction with MEP systems, with opportunities to work on diverse building types from offices to high-rise residential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil Engineering, or Physics; architectural issues experience preferred.
• Experience with architectural details is essential.
• US project experience with envelope U-value calculations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform U-value calculations for walls, thermal bridges, fenestration, and roofs across climate zones.
• Conduct hygrothermal transfer analyses (WUFI) and CFD analyses as applicable after training.
• Document and maintain clear project reports and communicate with project teams.
• Provide cross-functional support to meet client needs and project timelines.
• Attend internal seminars and team meetings to stay current with energy modeling methods.
