Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association, Inc. seeks a Senior Resource Dispatch and Trading Specialist to provide leadership in real-time energy markets, guiding dispatch decisions and market participation in SPP WEIS, CAISO WEIM, and bilateral markets.

The role supports integration of new resources and requires strong analytical skills and regulatory knowledge. With a focus on reliability and economic optimization, you will mentor teams, coordinate with EMS, System Operations, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance or related discipline.
• Proven analytical, quantitative and economic evaluation skills.
• Familiarity with wholesale power markets and utility operations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Retain expertise of real-time responsibilities in bilateral market, SPP WEIS and CAISO WEIM with potential additional markets.
• Troubleshoot and resolve real-time issues and communicate effective solutions.
• Steer Resource Dispatch and Trading for integration of new resources into real time.
• Produce documentation and conduct training to support Real Time's capacity for economic decisions.
• Interface with multiple groups within Tri-State and counterparty organizations.
• Represent Tri-State on industry committees (e.g., SPP WEIS, CAISO WEIM).
• Ensure compliance with NAESB, NERC and RRO Reliability Standards and Business Practices.
