Job summary

Southern California Edison (SCE) is seeking an Energy Trading Scheduling Senior Specialist to manage renewable and conventional generation within CAISO markets, ensuring least-cost dispatch and regulatory compliance in a 24x7 environment.

The role involves submitting bids, analyzing data, coordinating scheduling, and communicating with trading counterparts while protecting data and assets; on-site at Rosemead, CA with potential time at Irvine, CA.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in wholesale energy markets.
• Experience acting as Scheduling Coordinator or similar in CAISO or balancing area.
• Familiar with tariffs, NERC procedures and BA software.
• Proficient in Excel and data analysis for scheduling decisions.

Responsibilities

• Receive and communicate dispatch instructions, verify compliance.
• Submit bids and schedules into ISO systems and analyze data.
• Prepare reports and present to executive management as needed.
• Coordinate scheduling and balancing for contracted volumes hourly.
• Protect sensitive data and ensure regulatory compliance.
