Job summary

Transmission & Distribution World is seeking an electrical engineer to support a Direct Hire Authority DoD energy management program. The role coordinates design, cost engineering, construction, and real estate to enhance energy efficiency across major projects.

Responsibilities include reviewing ESPC/UESC opportunities, conducting high-energy-use surveys, site visits, and preparing specifications, reports, schedules, and supporting documents to improve system control and operation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (ABET-accredited program preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Provide electrical engineering support for planning and design of infrastructure projects.
  • Review ESPC/UESC opportunities and expansion as appropriate.
  • Conduct surveys of high-energy use systems to collect efficiency data.
  • Make site visits to assist with construction-related problems.
  • Analyze equipment and systems to optimize operation and efficiency.
  • Participate in design reviews with the District, Corps of Engineers, and A/E firms.
  • Prepare specifications, reports, drawings, cost estimates, schedules, and related documents.
