Job summary

Nenni and Associates is seeking a Senior Project Developer to lead ESPC and energy efficiency projects. The role involves estimating, scoping, and presenting proposals for commercial, institutional, and governmental clients.

Responsibilities include coordinating audits with Energy Engineers, developing financial pro formas, and supporting sales teams with technical insights. A strong background in energy auditing and DSM/HVAC initiatives is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• 7+ years of ESPC experience or related energy performance contracting experience.
• Knowledge of energy conservation/displacement projects (Cogeneration, DSM/SSM, HVAC).
• Experience with energy auditing.
• Professional engineering registration preferred; CEM preferred.

Responsibilities

A rapidly growing provider of energy solutions (ESCO) is looking for a Senior Project Developer to join our team.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and/or drive development of ESPC and other energy efficiency construction projects
• Develop scopes, estimates and final proposals prior to submission
• Develop/enhance processes & tools for project development
• Coordinate with Energy Engineers to conduct comprehensive energy and water audits of commercial, institutional, and governmental customers
• Identify and develop cost savings opportunities and capital upgrades relating to lighting, mechanical and electrical systems, energy management systems, water consuming equipment and fixtures, and building envelope
• Prepare detailed scopes of work for the opportunities to obtain accurate subcontractor pricing
• Prepare of budgetary cost estimates and preparation of technical reports
• Provide technical development assistance to solutions sales reps
• Assist in all stages of the development process through technical presentations of the proposed projects
• Lead development of financial proformas and assist in developing financial deal structure

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• 7+ years of experience in ESPC (Energy Service Performance Contracting)
• Has Energy Industry knowledge in developing energy conservation or displacement projects such as Cogeneration, Demand Side Management, Supply Side Management or HVAC energy reduction projects
• Must have experience in energy auditing
• Professional engineering registration preferred, CEM also preferred
• Design and construction experience a plus
• Experience with measurement and verification of savings for performance contracts
• Project cost accounting and estimating experience a plus
• Must have strong writing and oral communications skills
• 25% travel within the State
