Wendel in Hauppauge, NY is seeking a dynamic Construction Site Superintendent to lead energy-conservation and large-scale lighting projects. You will oversee safety, manage field trades, coordinate with vendors, and ensure work aligns with plans, drawings, and schedules.

This senior role requires 6–14 years of site leadership, proficiency with Procore and MS Office, excellent organization and communication, and the ability to juggle multiple projects with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 6 - 14 years of experience as a Construction Site Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, or similar field management role.
• Experience managing commercial, institutional, educational, municipal, or public-sector construction projects.
• Experience with large-scale lighting and electrical construction projects strongly preferred.
• Proficient in Procore and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Experience tracking materials, documenting field changes, and managing project documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and submittals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety coordination and site oversight across multiple projects.
• Coordinate RFIs from trades and ensure adherence to plans and specs.
• Review progress and provide weekly updates to upper management.
• Process invoices and coordinate with accounting; maintain project documentation.
• Coordinate permits and approvals with municipal agencies.
• Travel regularly to project sites and client meetings.
