Scotiabank is seeking an Analyst in Investment Banking, Energy in Houston. The role focuses on executing transactions, building financial models, and preparing client materials under supervision.

You’ll collaborate with Associates and Directors to support relationship management and ensure regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate has 0–2 years in IB, plus a business/finance-related degree and FINRA certs.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years’ work experience in Investment Banking.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Math, Engineering, Economics, Science or Technology.
• SIE, Series 79 and Series 63 FINRA certifications.
• Strong quantitative skills focused on financial analysis, accounting and financial theory.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent command of Microsoft Excel.
• A high level of attention to detail.
• Energy industry knowledge or interest is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Execute on a broad range of transactions and pitches.
• Prepare client presentations and financial models.
• Support Directors/MDs in managing client relationships in the energy sector.
• Ensure compliance with governing regulations and internal policies.
