Job summary

BTIG seeks a highly motivated and high-performing Investment Banking Analyst to join the Energy & Infrastructure team based in Texas (Dallas or Houston). The Analyst will play a critical role in supporting senior bankers across a variety of domestic and international corporate finance transactions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong financial background, exceptional analytical skills, and an interest in energy sub-sectors including upstream, midstream, downstream, and OFS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Engineering, or related quantitative discipline with strong academic track record.
• 1–2 years of experience in Investment Banking, M&A, Corporate Development, Private Equity, or closely related field; energy/infrastructure exposure preferred.
• Strong understanding of corporate finance and M&A processes; familiarity with energy valuation metrics (EV/EBITDAX, $/flowing barrel, NAV) is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Bloomberg, FactSet, CapIQ; knowledge of Enverus is advantageous.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work independently and within a lean deal team under tight deadlines.
• SIE, Series 79, Series 63 preferred or ability to obtain after joining.
• Authorization to work full time in the U.S.; BTIG does not sponsor visas.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and analyze complex financial models (DCF, NAV for E&P, LBO, accretion/dilution, comps).
• Assist in day-to-day execution of M&A and capital markets transactions; coordinate with internal teams, counsel, and clients.
• Prepare marketing materials: pitch books, CIMs, management presentations, board materials.
• Conduct research and strategic analysis on energy markets; monitor price trends and regulatory changes across sub-sectors.
• Manage data rooms and due diligence; review technical and financial documents.
• Communicate with senior bankers, clients, lawyers, accountants, and advisors; participate in meetings and calls for strategic follow-ups.
