Job summary

Alexander Chapman Ltd. is seeking an Investment Banking Associate to join the Energy Coverage team in Houston, TX. The role focuses on M&A, financing, and capital markets transactions within Energy/Oil & Gas, requiring 1–3 years of IB experience and strong modeling skills.

Ideal candidates have previous energy banking experience and a track record of executing transactions, with the ability to manage multiple live deals and collaborate with senior bankers and product teams.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of Investment Banking experience.
• Experience at an Investment Bank / Bank.
• Previous Energy or Oil & Gas investment banking experience is required.
• Strong experience with M&A and/or financing transactions.
• Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills.
• Strong understanding of accounting, corporate finance, and capital markets.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Execute M&A, financing, and capital markets transactions across the Energy / Oil & Gas sector.
• Build and review detailed financial models, valuation analyses, and transaction materials.
• Develop pitch books, presentations, and other client-facing materials.
• Work closely with senior bankers, Analysts, and product teams throughout the transaction process.
• Manage multiple live transactions and competing priorities simultaneously.
• Support business development efforts and help identify new opportunities within the Energy sector.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Take an active role in transaction execution from initial analysis through closing.
