  • Provide information, referrals, and support to clients while collaborating with staff, community partners, vendors, and other stakeholders to facilitate service delivery.
  • Support program operations through reporting, outreach, training, meetings, special projects, and other administrative or operational activities.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in accordance with agency policies and applicable regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support agency operations and organizational objectives.

Position SummaryThe Energy Intake Specialist I serves as a primary point of contact for individuals seeking information, services, and support through ACCESS programs, with a focus on Energy Assistance. This role involves providing customer service, conducting intake activities, assisting with service coordination, maintaining records, and supporting program operations. Duties may be performed through a variety of communication methods and in-person interactions. As organizational and programming needs evolve, this position may assist with administrative, outreach, client service, and operational support activities.Position Duties & Responsibilities• Serve as a primary contact for individuals seeking information, services, or assistance through agency programs.• Conduct intake activities, including screening, scheduling, assessments, and eligibility determinations, in accordance with agency policies, procedures, and program requirements.• Maintain accurate records and documentation, including timely data entry into agency systems and databases, while ensuring compliance with program and agency requirements.• Provide information, referrals, and support to clients while collaborating with staff, community partners, vendors, and other stakeholders to facilitate service delivery.• Support program operations through reporting, outreach, training, meetings, special projects, and other administrative or operational activities.• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in accordance with agency policies and applicable regulations.• Perform other duties as assigned to support agency operations and organizational objectives.• Belief in ACCESS’ mission to provide food, warmth, and shelter.• Minimum of one year of experience in direct client support, customer service, or a related field.• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, including reading, writing, and verbal communication.• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate records, and meet established deadlines in a fast-paced environment.• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with clients and co-workers, sustain client and intradepartmental confidentiality.• Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with standard office software, web-based applications, and other job-related technology.• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while adapting to changing priorities and operational needs.• Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record in accordance with organizational insurance policies.
