Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of total title experience, with at least 1 year in Texas as a Title Agent in Oil & Gas, Renewable Energy, Utilities, DOT, or Real Estate.
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Experience in title curative processes and due diligence; interpreting deed reservations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough title research for designated project areas, primarily in Texas or other states.
  • Prepare comprehensive title reports, runsheets, and chain of title documents for surface properties.
  • Identify and assess title issues affecting project design or construction (e.g., third-party easements, mineral reservations).
  • Collaborate with developers, land technicians, and GIS staff to integrate findings into planning and resolve defects.
  • Maintain organized title status records using project management tools like Smartsheet or MS Office.
