Job summary

Emerald Energy and Exploration Land Company is seeking experienced Title Examiners/Abstractors in Texas to research public records, examine titles, and prepare accurate chains of title with detailed summaries. You will interpret deeds, easements, plats, and related documents affecting ownership and assemble title packages and commitments.

Applicants should have 2+ years of title experience; mineral title expertise is a plus.

Qualifications

2+ years of title experience; mineral experience a plus.
Knowledge of researching public records and chains of title.
Ability to travel to courthouses statewide; actuarial travel not required.
Real Estate License a plus; acquisition experience a plus.
Experience completing complex mineral title.

Responsibilities

Research public records and examine titles to determine the legal condition of property title.
Interpret deeds, easements, plats, leases, court actions, probates and other documents affecting ownership.
Complete title acquisition packages and title commitments.
Identify title defects and prepare title-related correspondence, opinions, and title evidence.
