Job summary

Washington State Department of Commerce seeks an Infrastructure Protection Program Manager to lead strategies for energy infrastructure protection, cyber and physical security, and emergency management coordination across state and federal partners. This project-position role supports the Energy Resilience and Emergency Management Office’s strategic plan.

Travel within Washington and collaboration with energy sector owners/operators are expected.

Qualifications

  • Nine (9) years of combined experience and/or education in emergency management, infrastructure protection, or related fields.
  • IS-235.c Emergency Planning course completion from the Emergency Management Institute.
  • Experience supervising staff and coordinating large-scale emergency planning efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Lead energy infrastructure protection, cybersecurity, and physical security planning.
  • Coordinate with federal, state, local, tribal partners and private sector on information sharing and resource coordination.
  • Administer energy cybersecurity and critical infrastructure protection plans.
  • Develop data handling procedures for critical energy information and CEII.
  • Support energy sector exercises and trainings with multiple partners.
