Job summary

The Ad Hoc Group, LLC (AHG) is seeking a Senior Associate to provide strategic support on client accounts, aligning with business development, policy, go-to-market, and fundraising goals. This role leverages climate and energy expertise, strong networking, and advocacy to drive client outcomes.

Based in the United States, AHG is hybrid/remote; candidates in hub cities should visit the office at least one day weekly. Expect travel and direct client impact through regulatory engagement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in the energy industry with growth responsibility.
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA/MPP or related Masters preferred.
• Deep knowledge in at least one vertical such as building electrification or resilience.
• Strong sales/go-to-market, policy and regulatory capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic support on client accounts aligned with growth and policy goals.
• Develop and maintain relationships with startups, investors, regulators and industry leaders.
• Manage account planning and workflows to drive client outcomes.
• Advance client interests with key stakeholders as an extension of their teams.
• Create memos and presentations; influence regulatory bodies and go-to-market strategy.
• Lead policy research and analysis; help clients execute policy and market plans.
• Deliver business results including deals and regulatory outcomes.
