Job summary

S&P Global Energy is seeking a Vice President of FP&A to lead the finance agenda for the Energy portfolio, shaping strategy, forecasting, and performance insights. You will partner with the Energy CFO and senior leaders to translate priorities into actionable plans, drive investment decisions, and guide resource allocation across the business.

The role requires 15+ years in FP&A and strong executive communication to influence strategy, manage risk, and lead a global finance team.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive finance experience with leadership across FP&A, strategic finance and business partnership.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field; MBA/CPA/CFA or other advanced qualification preferred.
• Proven senior finance partner to C-suite and senior executives with the ability to influence strategy and challenge constructively.
• Deep expertise in planning, forecasting, performance management, financial modeling, scenario analysis and executive reporting.
• Proven leadership of high-performing finance teams across global/matrixed structures.
• Strong commercial and strategic acumen linking market/operating drivers to financial outcomes.
• Experience supporting growth, transformation, productivity, portfolio or M&A decisions in a complex business.
• Exceptional communication skills to synthesize complex issues into concise narratives for executives.
• Experience modernizing FP&A through improved processes, data, analytics, automation and technology.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end FP&A agenda for S&P Global Energy, including budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, reporting and scenario analysis.
• Partner with Energy CFO and senior leadership to translate priorities into actionable financial plans and resource allocation.
• Shape the financial performance narrative for the division and identify drivers, risks and opportunities.
• Provide an enterprise-minded finance perspective, challenging assumptions while balancing growth and investment needs.
• Lead financial risk and opportunity assessment and drive corrective actions.
• Drive M&A activities including acquisitions, divestitures, winddowns and internal transfers.
• Lead transformation through AI-enabled processes and streamlined workflows.
• Serve as trusted strategic finance advisor to senior Energy leaders for strategy, portfolios and investments.
• Prepare decision-ready financial insights for executive reviews and forums.
