Job summary

Partner Engineering & Science, Inc. is seeking an Energy Engineer II to advance energy analyses, audits, and whole-building modeling within our Energy & Sustainability team. You’ll grow in project leadership, engage with clients, and coordinate small projects.

The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in building systems and energy analysis, with proficiency in energy modeling tools and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 3+ years of energy-related experience or Master’s degree with 1+ year of experience.
• Experience with energy modeling tools (eQuest, EnergyPro, TRACE, EnergyPlus).
• Experience analyzing building systems including HVAC, lighting, and controls.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ASHRAE Level I–III energy audits with senior staff.
• Perform whole-building energy modeling using industry-standard tools.
• Conduct field inspections, building system evaluations, and testing.
• Analyze HVAC, lighting, controls, and other systems for energy savings.
• Evaluate renewable energy opportunities and feasibility analyses.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, and client-ready deliverables.
• Review contractor submittals for technical accuracy.
• Manage small projects or defined workstreams with scheduling/budget tracking.
• Support invoicing, forecasting, staffing coordination, and project records.
• Communicate with clients and internal teams on status and questions.
