Job summary

CLEAResult is looking for an Energy Technician in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In this role, you will install energy efficient equipment and verify installations while traveling within the state. Candidates should have a high school diploma and some experience in a related field.

You will take part in on-site activities to help residential customers and perform tasks that include troubleshooting and providing technical advice.

This position requires working in various climates and physical activities, including lifting up to 40 pounds.

Job Description

We are looking for a talented individual to join our team as an Energy Technician. As an Energy Technician, you will act as a local on‑site program and company representative to residential customers, installing energy efficient equipment, conducting pre‑ and post‑installation verifications, and gathering technical data through a defined territory. Successful candidates will reside in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and travel daily within the state.

Responsibilities

• Conduct installations of residential energy efficiency upgrades
• Provide technical advice, guidance, and training on installation, adaptation, configuration or enhancement in accordance with client specifications
• Provide input and status updates to program staff regarding project scope, planning and effectiveness of products
• Troubleshoot technical problems and issues regarding installation in accordance with client specifications
• Act as the local, on‑site program and company representative to customers and contractors; encourage participation in the program and overcome barriers
• Travel throughout a defined territory

Qualifications

• 0‑1 years experience in a related industry
• High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Nature of the Job

• Work in all climates
• Bending, crouching, kneeling, climbing
• Use repetitive hand motion
• Lift, carry or push up to 40 pounds frequently

Type of Work

• Ability to work in‑person in multiple homes per day (this is not a work‑from‑home position; you will be in the field servicing customers’ homes)

Driving Requirements

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid driver’s license

Target Compensation

$19.00‑$21.00 per hour

This is a safety‑sensitive position and may include field work such as work in industrial/commercial locations and customer homes, warehouse work, or requires driving on behalf of the company. Individuals provided a conditional offer of employment for this position must successfully pass a pre‑employment drug test and consent to the company obtaining a motor vehicle report evidencing a satisfactory driving record. Applicants for driving positions must hold a valid driver’s license, and individuals provided a conditional offer of employment must successfully pass a drug test and maintain a clean driving record as an ongoing requirement for continued employment.
