Job summary

CMC Energy Services is seeking a Field Technician to conduct energy audits, install measures, perform inspections, and support service activities across Kentucky. You will educate customers on energy-saving practices and recommend effective solutions.

This role requires a high school diploma, 1–3 years of construction or field experience, strong communication, valid driver’s license, and the ability to work independently or in a team while maintaining safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree a plus.
• 1–3 years construction or industry experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers, staff, supervisors and clients.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible schedule and willingness to work independently or as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license; travel to client locations may be required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed audits and assessments to evaluate energy consumption.
• Identify potential conservation measures and recommend energy-efficient technologies.
• Provide customer education sessions and recommendations on energy efficiency.
• Perform diagnostics, install program measures and minor repairs per specifications.
• Maintain inventory and company equipment; ensure safety and quality at all times.
• Communicate issues to supervisor for prompt resolution.
