Job summary

PEG, LLC seeks a motivated candidate to perform Home Energy Audits in the Haymarket, VA area. You will conduct visual inspections, collect data, and evaluate energy performance of new residential construction per RESNET and Energy Star guidelines.

The role includes on-site inspections, equipment testing, and reporting findings. A high school diploma is required, with HVAC/green building certifications viewed favorably and willingness to travel daily.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certifications such as HERS Rater, Energy Star, LEED, ACCA 310 HVAC Grading are a plus.
• 2 years of HVAC/home remodeling/construction experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Perform Home Energy Audits per RESNET/Energy Star guidelines.
• Inspect materials and installations for energy efficiency features.
• Test system performance using blower door, ventilation, and duct leakage tests.
• Prepare electronic audit reports and required paperwork.
• Travel daily within the assigned geographic area.
